ALERA NT, in conjunction with the NT Working Women's Centre, are delighted to offer our first training session for 2103 - Advocacy Training.
The role of the advocate in the adversary system is to persuade the decision maker of the merits of the client's case. Advocates must be up to that task, so that client interests are properly represented.
This practical, hands on training would be suitable for any HR practitioners, Union officials, employer representatives or industrial advocates who represent their clients and members in industrial matters, such as unfair dismissals, general protections applications and anti discrimination claims.
Training will be facilitated by Georgia McMaster, a Barrister at Magayamirr Chambers. Newcomers will learn the essential skills of advocacy and seasoned advocates can perfect their skills.
