Become a member

As a member of the NT Working Women’s Centre (NTWWC) you will have voting rights and a say in the governance of the association as per the Association Act. You may also nominate to become a Committee Of Management (COM) member. 


The NT Working Women’s Centre is governed by a management committee made up of nine volunteers who are responsible for the Centre’s 

governance and strategic direction. It is a requirement that members of the COM are members of the NTWWC.

Make a donation

When you make a donation to the Centre, you are making a symbolic statement of your value, interest and support for the work we do.


 Your contribution can help provide things such as workshops for vulnerable women on basic rights at work and representation for women whose employers have broken the law.     


 To make a donation, complete the online payment form. We appreciate all contributions.


 Donations are tax deductable and you will receive a tax invoice upon payment. You will also be subscribed to our regular newsletter updates.


Become a volunteer

The NTWWC is supported by volunteers who work alongside staff to provide support and make a real difference in the lives of women seeking assistance for work related issues in the Northern Territory.  Volunteers are local community members that bring various knowledge, skills and attributes to our service. 


What volunteers do

Volunteers provide services such as:

  • Welcoming visitors/clients
  • Answering the phone
  • Provide administration support
  • Assist with research and other projects
  • Attend and assist with community events

Why become a volunteer

Volunteering at the NTWWC can be rewarding. As a volunteer you can:

  • Build friendships and networks
  • Increase your confidence and feel rewarded contributing to women’s empowerment, equality and rights 
  • Enjoy working in and being part of a friendly and supportive team

NTWWC is extremely grateful to those who volunteer and contribute their time and skills so generously. 


Before you apply

  • To become a volunteer, you will need a current police check and a working with children clearance (we may be able to assist with this if required)
  • You must be able to commit to at least 3 hours per week
  • You must be a NTWWC member
